RELEASE STATUS / OCTOBER 2026

Trust needs evidence.

Aurion 0.2 is an unaudited implementation. This mainnet was launched at the founder’s request despite unresolved critical protocol issues.

Available in this release

  • Password-encrypted, compatible browser wallets
  • Public seed connectivity, storage mining and signed transfers
  • Windows, Linux and macOS Python packages
  • Experimental exchange API and documentation
  • 0.1% founder allocation policy
  • Source downloads and integrity checksums

Required for real-funds readiness

  • A reviewed, storage-enforcing consensus design
  • A standard post-quantum signature implementation
  • Secure signing state and key rotation
  • Independent cryptography and consensus audits
  • Hostile-peer, reorganization and recovery testing
  • A persistent, independently operated node network

Why the current protocol needs work

Storage proofs do not enforce storage.

Plot leaves can be recomputed from public inputs, and a miner can claim a large plot without allocating the corresponding space. The current prototype cannot establish the advertised storage-based security.

Checkpoint selection can be manipulated.

The producer influences the next challenge through its chosen proof. Chain weight and reorganizations need adversarial analysis and a stronger design.

Signatures are custom and stateful.

The hash-based construction is inspired by WOTS and Merkle trees. It is not a standardized XMSS implementation or a certified quantum-resistant system. Reusing one-time keys can expose funds. Local file locking improves concurrent use but does not make copied or restored wallets safe.

Swap scripts are tools, not a live exchange.

The website matches user-priced offers and guides AUR/ETH wallet settlement with chain verification. Bitcoin HTLC settlement remains manual. The matching and settlement code is unaudited; a quote or accepted match does not exchange funds.
